Alright, I was browsing teh interwebz,(big shock, I know)and I found a list of television characters that person would like to live up to, get them through the day, etc. so here it is, my list of muses. I'm gonna take a brake right now, but I'll finish it later, no worries.

Title: swordsman
Movie: The Princess Bride
Quote: "My name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die."
Inigo's father was killed by Count Ruben when he was only a boy. He swore revenge and spent most of his life trying to attain it. It was only with the help of a certain "man in black" that he ws finally able to kill the wicked count, and get his happily ever after.

Name : Dr. Daniel Jackson

Name: The Doctor(#10)
Title: The Doctor
Show: Doctor Who
Quote: "This is my Timey Wimey Detector. It's goes 'bing' when there's stuff"
My first and favourite Doctor. Always willing to help those who ask for it, and with a witty sense of humour. I'm not going to say much on him, as to encourage you lot to watch and find out for yourselves.

Title: Doctor of Archeology, Anthropology, and Philogy
show: Stargate SG-1
Quote: " Oh great, Another chance to die. Whoop-dee-doo."
Dr. Jackson is possibly the guy I'm most like in the entire Stargate Series(at least so far, we'll see what happens when Universe comes out). He believes there is a diplomatic solution to any problem, which I believe as well. Depending on when you read this, Daniel may be dead. or Ascended. or both. He has been helped to Ascend to a higher plane of existence on several occasions, but not by gods. I love this concept, as it says we only have so much power as we let ourselves have, and that we must use it responsibly.

Name: The Doctor(#9)

Name: The Doctor(#9)
Title: The Doctor
Show: Doctor Who
Quote: "I'm looking for a blonde in a Union Jack. A specific one mind, I didn't just wake up this morning with a craving"
Not my first Doctor, not my favourite Doctor, but probably the one I have the most in common with. This Doctor is the first since the Time War, a war between the Time Lords and the Daleks, in which all the Time Lords but the Doctor died. I've lost several close family members( please let's not discuss this), so I can relate to how angry he tends to be. But he also has the ability to keep moving forward, which is something I admire alot. (plus, the awesome tech doesn't hurt either)

Name: Merideth Rodney Mckay
Title: Chief Scientist of Atlantis;Astrophsicist
Show: Stargate Atlantis
Quote: "You are very clever, I will even give you brilliant; but there is brilliant, and then there's me."
Dr. Mckay has been one of my favourite characters since I first saw him in the first season of SGA. He is snarky, sarcastic, gets dragged into a whole lot of insane adventures when he would be quite comfortable at home, and, of course, Brilliant. So, naturally, I felt an immediate connection. He can be a real pain, but he can totally make up for it with his ability to save the day with some awesome, totally amazing invention every time.
Interesting. I suppose "The Doctor" is your favourite though?
ReplyDelete*thinks about it*.. you know, I don't think I could actually pick a favorite.
ReplyDeleteReally? I am shocked. From what I have gotten to know about you, you seem to LOVE the doctor. Well, I suppose I am still learning, aren't I?
ReplyDeleteWe learn something knew every day. Whether we realize it or not is another matter.
ReplyDeleteI guess you are right. For example, I learned that The Doctor is not your favourite character, and the formula for the Pythagorean theorem.
ReplyDeleteeasy. a2*b2=c2. I had to use that in our last math unit, in which I learned to find the hypotenuse of a right, 60/30 degree triangle. And now where doing transitions. I don't know why I even try anymore *sigh*
ReplyDeleteI feel the same way about language arts... But think about it, if we fail these dreadful classes, we will have to spend another year learning the SAME material by the SAME teachers...
ReplyDeleteyuck, just about covers it.
ReplyDeleteYou took the words right out of my mouth.
ReplyDeleteBut the funny thing about Barrett is that we know he is not stupid - he just thinks we are...
ReplyDeleteVery true. The perfect way to put it.
ReplyDeleteWhich I guess makes him dumb, for how could you think a band class is anything short of Brilliant? (Sorry Micah! But I thought the capital would work there)
ReplyDeleteeveryones a hypocrite these days...
ReplyDeleteYea - but you wouldn't have us any other way... right?!? (Dev look)
ReplyDelete*sigh* I suppose not....
ReplyDeleteNow I feel hurt... *walks away slowly*
ReplyDeleteCan we agree to find a new adjective? Aside from "Brilliant"?
ReplyDeletehow about(to quote Doctor #9) Fantastic?
ReplyDeleteSure. Anything that does not start with B and rhymes with "frilliant".
